July in the Southern Alps!
Snow capped mountains, crisp morning frosts and clear blue skies. What’s not to love about this time of year in Queenstown? Ski and snowboard enthusiasts arrive and head up the four ski areas within 20 to 90 minutes of the town centre, from first to last lift!
Queenstown is not short of amazing views and pistes for beginners to advanced winter riders to enjoy. Whether you are here to compete and explore new terrain or just to learn how to get from the top of the hill to the bottom, there is something for everyone in this winter wonderland, and the same applies for the rest of the town, once you descend the mountain. Queenstown is full of delicious cafes to enjoy a hot chocolate or quality coffee, at Patagonia for example, and a range of delicious wineries and bars, where you can pick up a mulled wine after a hard day’s work on the slopes!
If you are ready for a little apres ski on the weekends join us on our Hop on Hop off Evening Beer Tour every Friday and Saturday night starting at 5pm. You can easily make the last lift and still join us to travel around Queenstown, Arrowtown and some of the Gibbston Valley, tasting the amazing craft beers and delicious local wines for the evening. Rest your tired legs and enjoy an apres ski beer, mulled wine and delicious gourmet burgers and bar snacks.
Remember, for your white-out days join us on board our full day Hop on Hop off Wine Tour in Queenstown. We encourage you to visit as many of our partners as possible and rely on us as your trusty designated drivers.
